"Jason really helped me improve both the physical and mental sides of my climbing. He is a great coach who is enthusiastic, receptive, and knowledgeable.

I had done little proper training prior to working with him, and he did a great job of talking with me about my strengths, weaknesses, and goals in climbing and then creating a training plan for me that addressed all of those specific elements. Finger strength and steep climbing are two areas where I have been weak historically, but after some time training with Jason my finger strength improved dramatically and steep boulders and routes are now among my favorite styles of climbing. I also made big improvements in my mental game and projecting strategy thanks to Jason encouraging me to reflect on these aspects of climbing that I hadn’t given much thought to before, taking the time to discuss these elements with me, and giving me specific techniques and drills to use.

I’d been climbing casually for multiple years before working with Jason and had a decent base, but was stuck in the realm of climbing easy trad and 5.10 sport routes. After just a few months of working with Jason, I was climbing harder in the gym than ever, successfully redpointed a 5.11b sport route in just a few hours, and surprised myself by onsighting multiple 5.11a routes— I definitely recommend his coaching."

"Jason is a wonderful coach!  He was able to communicate the motivation and mindset behind getting into training to ensure a successful approach. I really felt as if Jason understood where I was coming from and was able to translate that into a very effective plan that I will take with me from season to season.

The training plan felt very achievable and doable for me to maintain, but also pushed my comfort zones and physicality in a way that absolutely translated into my outdoor goals. I found that the suggested technique of videoing myself was really helpful with working on specific drills. At a very minimum, my flagging has dramatically improved since Jason noticed I have a tendency to try to square up too much, rather than just flagging in a better position. On top of that, incorporating falling as part of my warm-up for wall days did more for my climbing than maybe anything else.

Having accountability to a coach did wonders for my projecting headspace and my willingness to try hard. I can't say enough good things about Jason and have recommended him and his training services to many of my friends who have commented on the positive changes in my climbing. If you also want your friends to comment on how much better you climb and how much harder you try, you should absolutely reach out to Jason!
